The film is about mainly in 1962 through the Cuban Missile Crisis and targets the connection between Professor X and Magneto and then the source of their groups, the X-Men plus the Brotherhood of Mutants. Though McCone denies to implement the mutants, they are financed from the unnamed "Person in Black Match", one other Central intelligence agency executive. Xavier tracks Shaw down, arriving soon enough to prevent Lensherr, who had assaulted Shaw, through drowning as Shaw goes out. Xavier brings Lensherr to the Central intelligence agency's secret "Division X" center. They speak to beginning scientist Hank McCoy, a prehensile-footed mutant whom Xavier inadvertently outs as a mutant. McCoy, improving a bond with Raven, claims her he will find out a path to normalize their appearance. Xavier uses a mutant- finding system, Cerebro, to seek out and enroll mutants for teaching to stop Shaw. He and Lensherr discover stripper Angel Salvadore; taxi driver Armando Muñoz, who gets the code name Darwin; Army prisoner Alex Summers, who dubs himself Havok; and Sean Cassidy, who names himself Banshee. Raven gets the name Mystique. While Frost meets with a Soviet general in the united states, Xavier and Lensherr seize her. McCoy devises defending clothing and a stealth airplane. In Moscow, Shaw obliges the general to have the Soviet Union establish atomic missiles in Cuba. Throughout the Cuban Missile Disaster, U.S. President John F. Kennedy institutes a blockage to avoid a Soviet freighter from moving the atomic missiles to Cuba. Shaw, wearing a helmet that foils Xavier's telepathy, comes with the Soviet fleet in order that the missiles arrive, making an attempt to trigger World Struggle III and obtain mutant ascendency. Raven goes to seduce Lensherr, who convinces her to accept her character as a mutant. Later, McCoy affords Raven his treatment method for her visual appeal, but she denies. The treatment method backfires on McCoy, making him a leonine colossal. Though self-conscious of his new visual appeal, he pilots the mutants and MacTaggert to the blockage line. In an ensuing combat with Shaw, Lensherr takes the helmet for himself, authorizing Xavier to immobilize Shaw. Despite Xavier's objections, Lensherr kills Shaw by pushing the concentration camp coin through his brain. Fearing the mutants, the fleets hearth their missiles at them. In a wrestle, Xavier holds Lensherr from damaging the fleets with the missiles, but when MacTaggert shoots at Lensherr, a deflected bullet hits Xavier in the spinal column. Lensherr, remorseful, leaves with Mystique, Angel, Riptide and Azazel. A wheelchair-bound Xavier and the mutants come back to the mansion, at which he plans to create a school. MacTaggert promises to don't show his address and so they kiss; at the Central intelligence agency shortly after, she declares she has no clear memory of current events.
